An easy and quick tutorial to do
For this tutorial you will need
* Tube of choice, I am using the BEAUTIFUL artwork of Jessica Dougherty which you can purchase from CDOHERE
1. Open a new canvas 700 x 700 transparent background
2. "Edit", "copy" and edit, paste as a new layer on to your new canvas the "granny spring" then reduce size to 90% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "90%" all layers UNCHECKED.
3. "Edit", "copy" and edit, paste as a new layer on to your new canvas the "3 photo's cluster frame" then reduce size to 75% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "75%" all layers UNCHECKED.
4. Take your magic wand tool and click inside all 3 frames until you have marching ants The best settings I found to do this with are as follows; (see print screen below) Mode: Add(shift), Match mode: RGB Value, Tolerance: 102, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-alias checked, Inside
5. "Selections", "Modify", "Expand" and choose "1"
6. "Edit", "copy" and edit, paste as a new layer on to your new canvas the "LHDYellowPaper" then go up to "Selections - Invert" and hit the "delete" key on your keyboard. On your layer palette drag this layer UNDER your frame layer. "Selections - Select None" (see my print screen below for what I have now)
7. On your layer palette click on the frame layer to make it active. With you magic wand tool again using the same settings as previously, select the middle and right frame.
8. "Edit", "copy" and edit, paste as a new layer on to your canvas your tube (I also mirrored my tube before I pasted it on to my canvas) and move your tube into the middle frame to your liking. I also had some of her wings showing in my far right frame as well.
9. Go up to "Selections - Invert" and hit the "delete" key on your keyboard. "Selections - select none"
10. Move this layer UNDER your frame layer on on your layer palette change the "blend mode" to "multiply" I then reduced the opacity to 50%. (see my print screen for what I have now)
11. I then used the layer of the tube labelled "butterfly wings alone" and "Edit", "copy" and edit, paste as a new layer on to your canvas then reduce size to 55% by going to "Image" , "Resize" "55%" all layers UNCHECKED. I moved this tube over to the right hand side frame and made it look like she was perched on the corner of the frame. (see my print screen below for what I have now)
12. Using the layer of the tube labelled "butterfly wings" and "Edit", "copy" and edit, paste as a new layer on to your canvas and on your layer palette drag your layer under your frame layer so it's between your frame layer and your paper layer.
13. On you layer palette click on your frame layer to make it active and with your eraser tool just erase parts of the frame that you like to make it look like she's coming in and out of the frame. I also took my eraser tool and erased around the bottom of the tube just to round it off a bit. (see my print screen below for what I have now)
14. Using the layer of the tube labelled "butters""Edit", "copy" and edit, paste as a new layer on to your canvas several times and arrange the butterflies around your tag to your liking. I mirrored a few of mine as well. That's what I love about this tube. We've been able to utilize all 3 layers of it.
15. You can now add your name to your tag. I used the font "Portfolio" size 72 and gave it a green colored drop shadow.
16. Add the artists copyright information and save it as a "png" file. (preserves the transparent background)
