Nordic Princess

For this tutorial you will need

* Tube of choice, I am using the work of Jessica Dougherty which you can purchase from CDO HERE
(or you can use any tube of your choice)

* Jeweled Accent which you can download HERE
(this jeweled accent was in my supplies and the designer of the accent is Vin Girls Designs.  I have searched endlessly looking for Vin Girls Designs and have come up empty handed.  The date on the accent was 2005 so it's possible I may not find the creator.  For now you can download the accent from my host and I've kept the copyright information intact. If anyone knows of Vin Girls Designs and if they have a site I can direct people to dowload from there, please contact me.)

* DSB Flux Filter
which you can download HERE

* Animation Shop

Font Of Your Choice
(I'm using the font AtCitadelScript size 28)

Let's Begin

UNZIP YOUR DSB FLUX FILTER AND INSTALL INTO YOUR "MY DOCUMENTS" "MY PSP FILES" "PLUGINS"

1. Open a new canvas 500 x 500 white background

2.  Open up your Jeweled Accent in PSP and choose which color you'd like to use (I'm using the blue) "edit", "copy" then "edit", "paste as a new layer" on to your new canvas.

3. Move near the top of your canvas.  On your layer palette right click and
"duplicate"

4. Go to "image" "mirror".  Right click on your top layer on your layer's palette and "merge down"
(merging your jeweled accent layers to 1)
(see print screen below for what I have now)

5.   On your layer palette right click and
"duplicate" then "image",  "flip"

6.   Right click on your top layer on your layer's palette and "merge down"
(merging your top merged jeweled layer with your bottom merged jewel layer to 1 layer you should now only have 2 layers. Your bottom white layer and then your merged jewel layers)
(see print screen below for what I have now)

7.  On your layer palette right click and
"duplicate"

8.  Go to "Image", "Free Rotate" and rotate to the left by 90 degrees
(see my print screen below for settings)

9.   Right click on your top layer on your layer's palette and "merge down"
(merging all your jeweled layers.  You should now only have 2 layers. Your bottom white layer and then your merged jewel layers)
(see print screen below for what I have now)

10.  Click on your bottom white layer to make it active

11.  With your preset tool set to "ellipse" and on your materials palette in the "Background and Fill Properties" choose a color of your choice to match your tube.  I choose the color #5dacae

With your ellipse tool draw a circle in the middle of your jeweled circular frame. You can now move the new layer around a bit to centre it under the centre of your jeweled frame.  On your layers palette right click and "convert to raster layer"
(see my print screen below for what I have now)

12. I then added a texture to my circular centre by going to "adjust", "texture effects", "texture"   I choose the
crumpled paper texture
(this is optional to do)

13.  Copy and paste your tube on to your canvas (make sure it's the top layer) and resize it to your liking.

14.  Move your tube to the centre of your frame.  I then erased the bottom of my tube to make it look like she was coming out of the frame.  (A little tip on how to do this is on your layer palette reduce the opacity of the tube layer until you can just see enough of the frame layer below.  This will help guide you when erasing.  Once done return the opacity back to 100%

15. Add your name.  I used the font  AtCitadelScript with the size set at 28.  In my Background and Fill Properties I choose the same color as I did for my centre circle which was  #5dacae and add a drop shadow of your choice.

16.  Add  the appropriate copyright information to your tag.

Now to animate

17.  Click on your merged jeweled layers layer and "duplicate" it 2 times for a total of 3 layers.

18.  Click on your bottom jeweled layer frame and go to your DSB Flux filter by going to
"Effects",  "Plugins", "DSB Flux", "Bright Noise"

19.  Use the settings shown in the print screen below

20.  Click on the middle merged jeweled layer frame layer and use the same settings as above clicking on the word MIX 1 time.

21.  Click on the top merged jeweled layer frame layer and use the same settings as above
clicking on the word MIX 2 times.

TIME TO TAKE IT INTO ANIMATION SHOP

22.  Open Animation shop and go back to your PSPClose off your top two merged jeweled frame layers by clicking on the eye to in your layers palette (you should see a red cicle with a line through it)

23. Click on your bottom merged jeweled layer and "
Edit", "Copy Special", "Copy Merged".

24.  Go to Animation shop and "paste as new animation"

25.  Got back to PSP and close the bottom merged jeweled layer by clicking on the eye and open the middle merged jeweled layer by clicking on the eye (the red circle layer should disappear) and
"Edit", "Copy Special", "Copy Merged"

26.  Go to Animation shop and
"edit", "paste after current frame"

27.   Got back to PSP and close the middle merged jeweled layer by clicking on the eye and open the top merged jeweled layer by clicking on the eye (the red circle layer should disappear) and  "Edit", "Copy Special", "Copy Merged"

26.  Go to Animation shop and "edit", "paste after current frame"

27.  You should now have 3 frames in animation shop

28.  You can now "Save As" your tag as a gif file and you are
ALL DONE!!
